Assessment is the process of evaluating student learning in terms of knowledge, competences, and skills.

Assessment serves to measure progress, provide feedback, and ensure academic standards are met.

TYPES OF ASSESSMENT

Formative assessment involves ongoing evaluations throughout the learning process, providing continuous feedback to help students improve.

Summative assessment, on the other hand, occurs at the end of a course or program, summarizing overall student achievement and often determining final grades.

Examination forms

There are five generic examination forms at CBS and many ways to combine theseexamination forms in the individual courses of a degree programme.

Compulsory activities

If you want to create an ongoing basis for feedback based on specific learning activities, you may consider introducing compulsory activities to your course.

Grading

Grades in Denmark are absolute grades, not relative grades. Grading can be based on the 7-point scale or a pass/no pass.
