CBS AI Strategy: Interview with Anna Thomasson

CBS has launched its AI strategy, setting a direction for how AI will shape education, research, and operations. At EDQ, we welcome this focus on AI in education and look forward to seeing how it will be implemented to support teaching and learning.

To understand how this will play out in practice, we spoke with Anna Thomasson, Dean of Education, who shared her perspectives.

“I see the potential in AI to enhance learning in different ways. (…) We could actually work more with individual feedback, to tailor the learning journey for each individual student by using AI tools. (…) If we use AI in courses to enhance learning, there is also a way for students to get in contact with AI—to learn how AI works, but also reflect on perhaps the downsides or the limits of AI.”
