News: Lucid replaces MindMeister (+Upcoming Lunch & Learn session)

We would like to inform you about an important change regarding the use of MindMeister. Due to significant license cost increases over the past few years, feedback from our March 2024 user-survey, and the introduction of Lucid Education as part of our Canvas license, we will not renew our contract with MindMeister. You can continue using MindMeister until August 31 2025, when it expires. We have sent emails to all teachers who have used MindMeister within the last two years to notify them about this change.

For those who wish to continue incorporating mindmaps and charts in their teaching, we recommend transitioning to Lucid, which is already integrated into Canvas. All teachers and students have access to Lucid as a part of our Canvas license. Lucid offers two powerful tools: 

• Lucidspark: Ideal for mindmaps, brainstorming, ideation, and collaborative whiteboarding.
  
• Lucidchart: Perfect for detailed diagramming, process mapping, and creating structured diagrams. 
  

Please note that it is not possible to import mindmaps or charts directly from MindMeister to Lucid. However, you can export your MindMeister content as PDFs and use them as references when setting up in Lucid.

We will invite you all to a short introductory session about Lucid on Thursday, 6th of February 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM The session will be recorded so even if you cannot attend please accept the invitation so you can get the recording afterwards.
