Slido: Spotlight

Slido is an excellent digital pedagogical tool that enhances classroom interaction and student engagement. It allows real-time polls, quizzes, and Q&A sessions, making lectures more interactive and dynamic. By facilitating anonymous student participation, it encourages more honest feedback and questions, thereby enriching the learning experience and ensuring every voice is heard. Slido also provides valuable insights into student understanding and learning preferences, helping educators tailor their teaching strategies effectively.

We are pleased to announce the addition of three new features to our Slido license:

Firstly, students now have access to adding polls, quizzes and Q&A sessions as part of our license. This means that they can use it as part of their own presentations, including the PowerPoint integrations for Windows and Mac.

Secondly, we are in the process of implementing Single Sign On when you log in. This means that very soon don’t have to remember your separate Slido password, but will be able to log in with your CBS username and password.

The third and last thing is that Slido now has become available in Zoom Market Place, meaning that if you use Zoom as part of your teaching, you can now install Slido in Zoom and use Slido to create and run your polls from within Zoom.

Over the summer, Slido will also do some changes to the user interface.
