Courses and workshops

This category covers all pedagogy, teaching, and learning-related courses offered by CBS or other relevant higher education institutions.

This includes on-campus or online courses on:

  • Teaching and learning practices
  • Teaching formats
  • Educational program management
  • Research on higher education pedagogy
  • Research on teaching and learning scholarship
  • How to use specific tools and learning activities
  • How to re-design a course
  • How to incorporate and apply specific teaching and learning concepts

Self-paced and on-demand courses

Peer consultations

Peer consultations are a reciprocal arrangement between peers that work together to support each other in the competence development of each other’s teaching practice. Teaching & Learning can help facilitate this process – reach out to your local department consultant for further advice. Peer consultations can also be arranged locally in the department or study board.

Competence development programs

This category covers longer-term competence development programs. If you plan to participate or enroll in any of the programs, please check with your department head first.

This includes:

  • Erasmus+
    With Erasmus+, training opportunities are available to staff working in education, both in teaching and non-teaching capacities.
  • Senior fellowship from Advance HE
    Senior Fellowship is awarded to professionals who demonstrate they meet the criteria of Descriptor 3 of the UKPSF for teaching and supporting learning in higher education. By applying to be a Senior Fellow of HEA you will present a thorough understanding of effective approaches to teaching and learning support as a key contribution to high-quality student learning. 

Programs aimed at specific career levels

This includes:

  • APDP
    CBS’ Associate Professor Development Program. This two-day program is designed to assist recently-appointed (in the previous 5 years) associate professors dealing with the transition into their new roles.
  • HETEP
    HETEP (Higher Education Teaching Excellence Program) is CBS’ assistant professor program.

Funding opportunities

This category includes funding options for your individual competency development.

  • Kompetencefonden (The Danish Competency Fund)
    The Danish Competency Fund is an opportunity to raise funds for your professional development if you are employed in the Danish state.
