Lecturing

This course aims at providing both experienced and novice lecturers with theoretical and practical knowledge about lecturing as a genre and as a learning activity.

Intended learning outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of the course, the participant will be able to:

• Define and explain lecturing as a genre

• Schedule a student-focused lecture

• Plan and deliver a short lecture

• Analyze and discuss lectures and lecturing

• Providing feedback to others’ lectures.

Preparation

Videos and reading material are made available approx. two weeks prior to the course

All participants engage in an online activity concerning experiences, focus, and personal learning goals.

All participants prepare a ten-minute lecture .

After the course

All participants fill in a full lecture plan (from a template). Deadline May 4th, 2023. 
The plan is handed in and shared with two other participants. In triads, all participants provide and receive feedback (from a template).
The deadline is May 12th, 2023.
