Teaching with active participation

This workshop introduces active participation as an exam format, providing practical insights and outlining official guidelines for its implementation.

In this workshop, you will:

– Explore the principles of active participation as an exam format and examples of its application at CBS.

– Learn about different types of feedback and their potential to enhance student learning within this format and share experiences of using various feedback activities in your courses.

– Participate in a guided discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of using grade-free assessment, as well as its impact on student study habits and motivation.

– Reflect on the main challenges and benefits of implementing active participation in your course.

  • decided on using the active participation format in 2025-26
  • are curious about this exam- and teaching- format
  • want to know more about how they can implement feedback activities in their courses
